Artikel 39.(1) Die Bundesversammlung wird - abgesehen von den Fällen des Artikels 60, Absatz 6, des Artikels 63, Absatz 2, des Artikels 64, Absatz 4 und des Artikels 68, Absatz 2 - vom Bundespräsidenten einberufen. Der Vorsitz wird abwechselnd vom Präsidenten des Nationalrates und vom Vorsitzenden des Bundesrates, das erstemal von jenem, geführt.(2) In der Bundesversammlung wird die Geschäftsordnung des Nationalrates sinngemäß angewendet. (3) Die Bestimmungen des Artikels 33 gelten auch für die Sitzungen der Bundesversammlung.

第39条(1) 連邦総会は−第60条第６項、第63条第２項、第64条第４項、および第68条第２項の場合を除き−連邦大統領により召集される。議長は、国民議会議長および連邦参議院議長による交替制とし、初会は国民議会議長によるものとする。(2) 連邦総会においては、国民議会の議院規則を適用する。 (3) 第33条の規定は、連邦総会の会議にも準用する。

Art. 39.(1) Apart from the cases stated in Art. 60 para. 6 Art. 63 para. 2, Art. 64 para. 4, and Art. 68 para. 2, the Federal Assembly is convoked by the Federal President. The chairmanship alternates between the President of the National Council and the Chairman of the Federal Council, beginning with the former.(2) The National Council's Standing Orders are applied analogously in the Federal Assembly. (3) The provisions of Art. 33 hold good also for the sessions of the Federal Assembly.
