Artikel 62.(1) Der Bundespräsident leistet bei Antritt seines Amtes vor der Bundesversammlung das Gelöbnis:"Ich gelobe, daß ich die Verfassung und alle Gesetze der Republik getreulich beobachten und meine Pflicht nach bestem Wissen und Gewissen erfüllen werde." (2) Die Beifügung einer religiösen Beteuerung ist zulässig.

第62条(1) 連邦大統領は、その職務の開始に際して連邦総会の前で以下の宣誓を行う。「私は、共和国の憲法およびすべての法律を忠実に遵守し、全知全霊を尽くして義務を果たさんことを誓う。」 (2) 宗教的宣誓の付加は、許容できる。

Art. 62.(1) On his assumption of office the Federal President renders the following affirmation before the Federal Assembly:"I solemnly promise that I shall faithfully observe the Constitution and all the laws of the Republic and shall fulfill my duty to the best of my knowledge and belief." (2) The addition of a religious asseveration is admissible.
