Artikel 53.(1) Der Nationalrat kann durch Beschluß Untersuchungsausschüsse einsetzen.(2) Die nähere Regelung hinsichtlich der Einsetzung und des Verfahrens von Untersuchungsausschüssen wird durch das Bundesgesetz über die Geschäftsordnung des Nationalrates getroffen. (3) Die Gerichte und alle anderen Behörden sind verpflichtet, dem Ersuchen dieser Ausschüsse um Beweiserhebungen Folge zu leisten; alle öffentlichen Ämter haben auf Verlangen ihre Akten vorzulegen.

第53条(1) 国民議会は、決議により調査委員会を設置することができる。(2) 調査委員会の設置および運営に関する詳細な規定は、国民議会の議院規則に関する連邦法による。 (3) 裁判所および他の全官庁は、これらの委員会の請求に対して 証拠徴収のために結果を提供することを、義務づけられていて、すべての官公署は、要求に基づきその記録を提出しなければならない。

Art. 53.(1) The National Council can by resolution set up committees of inquiry.(2) The detailed regulations respecting the establishment of, and the procedure for, committees of inquiry will be settled by the Federal law on the National Council's Standing Orders. (3) The courts and all other authorities are obliged to comply with the request of these committees to take evidence; all public departments must on demand produce their files.
